Rules

I really enjoyed reading your responses about Rules.  I have to agree with you Kylie.  It is a book that deals very honestly with what it is like to have a family member with autism.   I also liked friendship that developed between Catherine and Jason.  I like the fact that they described Catherine struggling to decide whether or not to take Jason to the school dance.  I could identify with being a middle schooler and struggling with the idea of doing the right thing and worrying what other people would think.  It is so difficult at that age to be different.  I can honestly say that was the part of the book that made me cry.  I was so proud that Catherine ultimately did the right thing.
