Game Board Book Reports
I couldn't have been more impressed by the way that ourGame Board book reports turned out. Students in my fourth and fifth grade class created a board game similar to monopoly based on their Independent Daily Reading Books. They had to come up with 22 unique property titles based on the settings in their books and create their own questions based on the plot of the book. We worked on the Game Boards after learning the questioning strategy QAR (Question, Answer, Response). Students were required to have each type of questions represented in their game (Right There, Think & Search, Author and Me, and On my Own).
